Cassandra Oil at Tire Tech

Swedish based Cassandra Oil will be exhibiting its technology at Hannover’s Tire Tech. The process used by Cassandra turns waste streams into domestic energy and transforms petroleum based waste (such as plastics and tyres) into valuable carbon and oil commodities to be reused in a circular economy.

Solution for Hydrocarbon Waste

Cassandra Oil has developed an environmentally friendly and commercially viable technology to address hydrocarbon-rich waste, such as end-of-life plastics and used tyres. Its aim is to reduce landfill and enable 100 per cent material recovery while producing a light crude oil. Other recovered materials such as, carbon black, gas and metals are leveraged in other industries. The CASO process is continuous, where the energy is created mechanically through friction and thereby separating it from traditional pyrolysis methods.

Cassandra Oil offers a positive alternative to landfill and incineration and as the produced oil can be used to make new products, that again can be broken down to oil, it also creates a circular economic model. Cassandra Oil AB is a member of Swedish Clean Tech as well as the Swedish Recycling Industries Association.
