Tana Oy will present a combination of high-performance machinery, new product developments and digital solutions at IFAT Munich 2026, under the theme “Feel the Energy”
Tana aims to demonstrate how advanced engineering and intelligent technology can work together to improve efficiency, uptime and operational control in modern waste processing environments.
One of the main highlights at Stand 227 in Hall B5 will be the Tana Hammerhead, a mobile shredder engineered for demanding applications where durability and consistent performance are critical. Designed to maximise productivity, the machine reflects Tana’s continued focus on robust solutions capable of handling complex waste streams. In addition, visitors attending on the opening day will witness the launch of a new product, which the company describes as a significant step forward in waste management technology, combining practical functionality with innovative design.
Live demonstrations will also play a central role in Tana’s IFAT showcase. The Tana Shark shredder will be operating daily at the VENETO Schwenter GmbH stand, allowing visitors to see the machine’s capabilities in real working conditions. These demonstrations are intended to provide a clearer understanding of performance, throughput and material handling in real-world scenarios.
Alongside its machinery, Tana will highlight its growing portfolio of digital tools. The Tana Wingman system, an on-site operator assistant, delivers real-time machine data and a live camera view directly to a tablet, improving situational awareness and enabling faster responses to changes such as blockages or inconsistent material flow. Notably, the system operates without cloud connectivity, ensuring that data remains securely on site while maintaining reliability in all conditions.
Looking ahead, Tana is also introducing a new proof of concept within its TanaConnect platform in collaboration with spogen.ai. The TanaConnect Smart Assistant explores the potential of AI-driven, voice-enabled interaction, allowing operators and service teams to access machine-specific information more intuitively. By reducing the need to search manuals and streamlining troubleshooting processes, the system is designed to support more efficient day-to-day operations.
