CEYES are recycling artificial sports surfaces to make stormwater retention panels.
CEYES Launches Production Facility
Dutch company CEYES has long promoted the idea of the use of crumb rubber tiles as a base for growing medium on landscaped areas and in green roofs.
The company has now reached the point of launching its first small-scale production facility to serve the Benelux and surrounding markets from a base near Venlo.
The plant has been designed for manufacturing the CEYES RPR stormwater retention panel. A product made locally from locally sourced circular waste rubber granules delivered by GBN Groep out of worn artificial sports fields, with a CO2 footprint up to 4x lower and a double life than a comparable product from recycled plastic.
The plant has been realised with the cooperation of key suppliers MTB and Salvadori providing the machinery for the facility.
