Recircle Awards gain credibility with equipment manufacturers as Eldan promotes its nomination
Eldan Nominated for the Recircle Awards
The award is designed to recognise contributions within the tyre manufacturing, retreading and recycling industries towards the Circular Economy. Eldan is nominated in two categories: Best Tyre Recycling Industry Supplier and Best Tyre Recycling Innovation.
Judges wrote the following about Eldan’s nomination for Best Tyre Recycling Industry Supplier:
“Eldan Recycling, based in Faaborg, Denmark, is among the world’s leading suppliers of modern recycling equipment with a particular strength as a provider of solutions for the tyre sector. Throughout 60 years of existence, the company has installed more than 830 complete recycling systems and 7,100 single machines to customers in 65 countries.”
Judges wrote the following about Eldan’s nomination for Best Tyre Recycling Innovation:
“Danish shredder manufacturer Eldan has developed a new Foreign Object Detection System that monitors the material flow from the pre-shredder on a vibrating discharge conveyor and stops the conveyor if it registers a foreign object amongst the tyre shreds that could result in a breakdown of the following machine in the shredding process.”
Due to the global COVID-19 restrictions, the plan is for the Recircle Awards to embark on a world tour to hand deliver the winners their trophies. The Recircle Awards Roadshow will see the Recircle Awards visit trade fairs across the world throughout 2021.
