Tyre Recycling in Europe - Presentation to CTRA Conference
In the current times, the tradition of conferences and exhibitions has been completely disrupted by the pandemic. Travel restrictions and quarantines around the world make just about any face-to-face real-world events a near impossibility. This is just as much true of China as it is of any other market.
An Overview of the European Tyre Recycling Market
The China Tyre Utilisation Association (CTRA) is the single largest recycling association in the world, and its annual conference and exhibition are heavily attended by delegates from around the world, and in particular from the area of Chinese industrial influence.
Western observers cannot have failed to notice the prevalence of marketing material arriving in our social media content and direct mail arising from the Chinese tyre recycling equipment sector. There is, in China, a huge interest in the markets available to their technology. For many of these companies, understanding what is happening in Europe is as mystifying as it is for most Europeans to understand exactly what is happening in China.
In the face of the challenges of international travel, the CTRA invited Tyre and Rubber Recycling to present to their conference digitally. We tried to answer some of their questions to create a better understanding of how the sector might function in Europe.
