Autopromotec has announced a new management structure, with Enrica Lazzarini appointed as CEO and Guido Gambassi taking on the role of CSO. The changes were formally ratified on 22 April 2026 and will take effect from May
The decision reflects a strategy focused on continuity, with the board opting to promote experienced internal figures who are already well established within the organisation and the wider automotive aftermarket sector.
Lazzarini, who was appointed Secretary General of AICA – Associazione Italiana Costruttori Autoattrezzature in March 2026, now assumes leadership of the biennial exhibition, jointly owned by AICA and AIRP – Associazione Italiana Ricostruttori Pneumatici. The next edition of Autopromotec is scheduled to take place from 26 to 29 May 2027 at BolognaFiere.
“I take on this new challenge with great enthusiasm and feel honoured by the trust placed in me. Coordinating the next edition of Autopromotec will undoubtedly be stimulating, and I am confident that, with the support of this well-established team, we will deliver an event that meets the expectations of both exhibitors and visitors. The automotive sector is increasingly shaped by structural and highly dynamic innovations, requiring strong responsiveness and analytical capability. Changes are happening so rapidly that it has become essential to see and experience innovations first-hand, something that can only truly happen at events like Autopromotec,” said Lazzarini.
Gambassi will combine his new role with his existing positions as CEO of EditProm, Secretary General of AIRP and Federpneus. He emphasised the event’s unique positioning within the sector: “What makes Autopromotec the most specialised exhibition in the sector is its ability to integrate innovation and reflect the direction of the market, thanks to its unique nature. Its strong association base and the presence of so many industry players within its ecosystem ensure that Autopromotec continues to serve as an international point of reference.”
The transition has been supported by outgoing CEO and former AICA Secretary General Renzo Servadei, who has stepped down for personal reasons but will remain involved to ensure continuity ahead of the 2027 event.
“It is with great emotion and deep gratitude that I step down from both roles I have held until now. I am confident that the new leadership of Casa Autopromotec will carry forward the traditions that make our event unique, while embracing the innovations that the future holds. I am particularly pleased that internal talent has been recognised, people whose relationships and experience represent our greatest strength, enabling us to understand and respond to the needs of our exhibitors,” said Servadei.
