Ecopneus Supporting Festambiente

Ecopneus-Festambiente

Festambiente, the annual Italian environmental festival, has once again been supplied with fun and relaxation areas in recycled rubber from Ecopneus.

Ecopneus Provides a “Rubber City” for Festambiente

From sports fields to the playground, from cycle paths to relaxation areas, all created from recycled tyres.

Festambiente, the Legambiente festival, which has reached its 32nd edition this year, will take place in Rispescia, Grosseto, from 19 to 23 August.

Thanks to Ecopneus, the leading non-profit consortium in the collection and recovery of end-of-life tyres (ELT) in Italy, a real city of recycled rubber has been built over the years at Festambiente, with many innovative solutions for the enjoyment of young and old: football and basketball courts, miniature golf, the TuttinGioco inclusive playground, cycle paths, improvement of the acoustics of a meeting room, urban furnishings, and relaxation areas, all made with recycled rubber from ELT.

This unique authentic experience of the circular economy unique, is further enriched this year with the presentation of a product for the redevelopment of parking areas, created through the use of innovative eco-friendly mixtures created thanks to the union of recycled rubber powder from ELT and thermoplastic materials. An innovation developed within the Tyreplast research project, promoted by Ecopneus with the support of Idea Plast.

"We are really proud to be able to leave solid evidence of the benefits associated with the correct management of ELT at Festambiente,” - declares Giovanni Corbetta, general manager of Ecopneus.

“Educating new generations on sustainability and respect for the environment means guaranteeing a better future for tomorrow's adults and doing it through play and sport certainly represents an added value for the kids.”
