MC Pyrolysis has recently developed a continuous screw pyrolysis plant for end-of-life tyres and rubber waste, featuring a 27-metre reactor based on technology that’s been in operation in China for eight years
About the MC Pyrolysis Screw Pyrolysis Plant
According to MC Pyrolysis, the plant features a self-cleaning screw reactor designed to reduce coke build-up and support extended continuous operation, together with a liquid film easling system which aims to improve airtight integrity and minimise environmental leakage. The plant is designed for automated operation, aiming to reduce labour requirements and operational costs.
The plant can process between 30 and 50 tonnes of rubber crumb per day and is designed for extended operating cycles of up to 120 days. It produces pyrolysis oil and recovered carbon black (RCB) for industrial reuse. The plant is also designed with an operational lifespan exceeding 10 years.
From China to Europe
MC Pyrolysis reported that its plants are currently operating in several locations in China and Europe, where they have demonstrated performance, environmental compliance and operational stability. The company is currently seeking collaboration with environmental, recycling, and industrial partners in Europe, offering access to technical information, case studies, and additional specifications through its website.
