Tratamiento Neumáticos Usados (TNU) has announced the winners of the sixth edition of its photography and visual arts competition, “The Tyre in a Positive Light,” an initiative designed to combine art, creativity and sustainability while promoting a positive view of tyres within the circular economy
The Winners
The TNU jury awarded the three main prizes to the following participants:
- First prize (€1,000): Pedro Aguado (@pedro_dolcefoto)
- Second prize (€500): José Ramón Luna de la Ossa (@jrlunadelaossa)
- Third prize (€250): David Piqueras Aparicio (@piquerasdavid)
In addition to the main prizes, the jury awarded five honourable mentions, each worth €40, to Pedro PPP (@pedro4p), José Ramón Luna de la Ossa (@jrlunadelaossa), Rubén Vázquez Trujillo (@rubenvazqueztrujillo), OSR (@willstreetcolor) and Víctor (@fotostreetr6).
The competition will also feature a public voting phase to recognise further entries, where five additional honourable mentions will be selected based on audience engagement through the TNU official Instagram account @tnu.neumaticos.
Voting will open on 16 March and run until 21 April 2026. The images shared on the organisation’s profile will be open to the public, with the five photographs receiving the highest number of “likes” each receiving an honourable mention and a €40 award. The final results will be announced once the voting period has concluded.
With this photography contest, TNU seeks to raise awareness of the importance of responsible management of end-of-life tyres (ELT) while highlighting their potential value within a circular economy.
