Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II

Last week our offices here in the UK were closed for a family vacation. At the start of the week Queen Elizabeth II was our monarch and Boris Johnson was the Prime Minister. When we returned, we had King Charles III and Liz Truss. It serves as a timely reminder how things can change in the twinkling of an eye, something we all might wish to reflect on when we analyse how our world has been transformed in the last ten years or so.

A Liftetime of Service

For the majority of British people alive today the Queen has been a constant presence in our lives, and the fact that she is no longer with us will take some getting used to. What has struck me these last few days has been the volume of tributes I have seen on social media from tyre industry colleagues from all corners of the world, all of whom have been touched by the Queen’s devotion to duty and the example she has set for us all in how we should lead our lives. It will be a long time before we see her like again.

Rest in peace, Your Majesty, and thank you for your service.
