Pyrolysis Plant for Florida

Pyrolysis Plant for Sunset, Florida

Aether International Renewable Energy, which will convert end-of-life tyres into eco-friendly industrial commodities, has identified a potential site to build a 125,000-square-foot facility. The company recently announced that the plant could be ready for operation in the summer of 2023. It will include space for production, office, shipping and a lab for continued research into renewable energy technology.

The facility will be fully contained in an eco-friendly building with three production lines that are expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by 9,800 metric tons annually and create 130 tanker trucks worth of fuel, with the capacity to recycle almost 33,000 tons a year. The gas offtake could provide plants with energy resulting in a low-grade dependency on energy to the facility.

Outputs would include biofuels and a recovered Carbon Black.

According to documents filed with the Louisiana Economic Development office, the company will receive rough cut pieces of feedstock at the facility and be processed into crumb rubber with steel being removed and recycled. The rubber will then be pyrolysed with the offtake gases being used or condensed to create fuel oils.  The recovered Carbon Black will be converted into pellets and shipped out.
