ZC Rubber Moves Forwards with Rubber Recycling Project
Zhongce Rubber Group Co., Ltd. (ZC Rubber) and Nanjing Lvjinren Rubber & Plastic High-tech Co., Ltd. (Nanjing Lvjinren Rubber) have signed an online contract for the expansion capacity of recycled rubber. The project, which will be fully operational in September 2020, will have an annual production capacity of 20,000 tons of recycled rubber, and become China’s leading recycled rubber plant and a benchmark project in the tyre industry.
ZC Rubber is China’s leading rubber company, and in the top ten globally. ZC Rubber is also the only experimental unit designated by the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China and the China Tyre Recycling Association.
As a key player in the global tyre market, ZC Rubber has taken the lead to achieve a circular economic approach to tyre manufacturing.
ZC Rubber has been actively cooperating with colleges and universities and scientific research units in China and abroad, to seek the most advanced comprehensive recycling technology for waste tyres.
In 2017, ZC Rubber ordered the first sets of recycled rubber production lines from Nanjing Lvjinren Rubber. The equipment was the outcome of a vital project of the National High Technology Research and Development Programme in China, developed independently by Professor Zhang Liqun’s team at Beijing University of Chemical Technology, and has achieved environmental protection, safety and continuity in the preparation process of recycled rubber. The project claims excellent and stable product performance to global specifications.
