Zeppelin Systems Partners with Recykl Group

One of the largest industrial process manufacturers in the tyre industry, Zeppelin Systems, has been a solution provider for the tyre industry for over 40 years, setting new priorities not only in tyre production but also in the recycling of end-of-life tyres.

Along the value chain as a solution provider, the Friedrichshafen-based plant manufacturer officially added the Polish Recykl Group to its partner network on February 3, 2023.

As an established Polish market leader in the field of waste tyre disposal, the partnership with the company marks a gain for Zeppelin Systems for the integrated circular economy.

The strategic partnership of the two companies creates valuable synergy effects in the development and marketing of technologies in the field of scrap tyre recycling. The Polish company Organizacja Odzysku S.A., as part of the large capital group “Recykl Group” (GRC), has been intensively involved in the processing of used tyres since 2004. The company processes over 120,000 tons of old tyre material annually, making it one of the largest companies of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe.

Zeppelin Systems relies on highly automated processes, zero-waste production and technologies that reduce emissions in tyre production and tyre recycling. This is of utmost relevance for the industry because a sustainable circular economy in tyre production requires recycled tyres that are of consistently high quality and are available in sufficient quantities.

The partnership with the Recykl Group will take mechanical scrap tyre recycling to the next level. The plant engineering technology comes from Zeppelin Systems, the process for tyre recycling – in particular, the devulcanisation of rubber – by the Recykl Group.

The result is high-quality recyclates that can be directly reintegrated by the customer into the production cycle of new tyres.

Recovered textile fibres from mechanical recycling, for example, are used again as stabilisers in road construction and even show better properties than conventional materials. Therefore, the new partnership marks an important alliance.

“As an integrated solution provider for scrap tyre recycling, we are closing an important gap in the circular economy through the partnership with the Recykl Group. We are doing our part to commercialise technologies for the production of recyclates, which are urgently needed in the tyre industry for the production of sustainable tyres,” says Guido Veit, Vice President Sales for Polyolefins, Rubber and Silos at Zeppelin Systems GmbH

As experts along the value chain in the tyre recycling process, Zeppelin Systems will also be exhibiting together with the Recykl Group at the international Tire Technology Expo in Hanover from March 21 to 23, 2023.

At booth 9000 in hall 21, visitors will experience Zeppelin’s concentrated solution competence for tyre production. About mixing room solutions, technology associations and innovations for the production of recycled materials from devulcanised rubber compounds, fibre-reinforced stabilisers for road construction, recycled and purified soot (rCB) and recycled oils.

“We are a competent partner for our customers throughout the tyre manufacturing and recycling process and, as a system integrator, offer suitable solutions for the respective process step,” explains Patrick Buder, Sustainability Strategy Manager at Zeppelin Systems. He continues; “We are open to expanding our broad network in the field of recycling at any time.” We Create Solutions!
