Moscow Inaugurates Processing for Tyres and Automotive Waste

A production base for the processing of out-of use vehicles and their components has been created in the Moscow region, according to the press service of the Regional Ministry of Transport.

New Shredder Plants for Moscow

The Minister of Transport of the Moscow region, Mikhail Oleinik said, that by using modern technology, the Moscow region got the opportunity of processing secondary materials from the complex transport waste produced in the Moscow area.

According to the Ministry, in the Moscow region there are four powerful shredder plants for processing recyclable materials located in the Mytishchi, Podolsk, Dzerzhinsk and Lyubertsy districts.

In the Moscow region there have been established high-tech production facilities for processing waste tyres of all types and categories, for example,  “Oris Prom (Dzerzhinsky).

Matters requiring special attention continue to be the organisation of the collection and temporary storage of used tyres in the municipalities of the Moscow region before transporting them to the waste processing plants.

In 2017, the Ministry of Transport of Moscow plans to complete the creation of a system of recycling of used tyres and to provide conditions for 100% of their collection and processing. After this system is established there will be an ongoing monitoring and control process put in place.
