ELT Surfaces for Trento Sports Festival

Ecopneus provides surfaces for Trento Sports Festival

The tyre derived surfaces for basketball and volleyball have enabled the Trento Sports Festival to recycle more than 4,300 kg of recycled rubber from end of life tyres.

Trento Sports Festival Making Use of Recycled Rubber

The Trento Sports Festival is coloured "green" thanks to Ecopneus, the main non-profit making company responsible for the management of ELT in Italy and partner of the event, which created the Tyrefield surfaces for basketball and volleyball that were installed in the Piazza Fiera in October.

The two fields, of 525 m2 for basketball and 360 m2 for volleyball, used anti-shock performance mats made with a total of over 4,300 kg of recycled rubber from ELT.

For the basketball, a removable flooring was laid on the rubber layer; a system that complies with the requirements of FIBA, the International Basketball Federation.

On the volleyball field, however, the rubber mat was covered with a specific colored acrylic resin, on which the lines were drawn.
