Video Reveals Reality of Indian Pyrolysis Plant and Kuwaiti Inertia

Tyre and Rubber Recycling is the only global publication focusing on tyre recycling and we are rightly proud of our position and the lead that we take. However, we take our hats off to German YouTube video team Doc Bites, who run a series of investigative video clips examining environmental issues.

One of their videos looks at the issue of tyre recycling and whilst it is in some ways superficial, it highlights the issue of what happens to tyres that are not recycled properly in Europe.

There is an interesting clip with Lars Raahauge at Genan in Viborg, but most revealing are the conditions at a pyrolysis plant in India, one reputed to be at the higher end of the market.

Tyre and Rubber Recycling rarely sends readers or viewers to other sites, but this one is absolutely worth a visit.

Anyone shipping tyres to India on the understanding that they will be properly managed needs to take a look at this video, and then do some due diligence.

Tyre and Rubber Recycling has to admit that checking what is happening on the ground halfway around the world is not always the easiest task, but perhaps we all need to ask more questions when we deal with remote clients.
