SIGNUS Breaks Records

In the year that SIGNUS has just ended, it has managed 200,286 tons of ELT, which it has previously collected in the 25,820 generation points spread throughout Spain. The total managed in 2021 represent an increase of 17.3 per cent compared to those managed in 2020.

SIGNUS Collects 200,000 tons of tyres in 2021

With this collection rate, SIGNUS complies with the obligations imposed by Real Decreto 1619/2005 to all its affiliated producers, such as managing, at least, the same number of tyres that they put on the national replacement market, to which must be added the reusable tyres that are re-marketed in the market.

In 2021, is the first in which tyres larger than 1,400mm have been integrated into extended producer responsibility, which has led to an increase in the placing on the market and in the handling quantities of tyres for general use. The management of this quantity of ELT has meant the transformation of the waste generated by a multitude of vehicles into useful and valuable resources for society. All this following the principles of the Circular Economy, and sustainability in the use of raw materials.
