Tyre Collection Service Changes at Aliapur

Aliapur has made changes to its tyre collection service in France.

Changes at Aliapur for 2021

Following the call for tenders passed last year by Aliapur for the renewal of its used tyre collection and processing service providers, 20 departments will change collector for the next four years: Ain, Allier, Ardennes, Corrèze, Doubs, Drôme, Gers, Jura, Loire, Lot, Manche, Marne, Haute-Marne, Morbihan, Rhône, Somme, Vendée, Yonne, the Hauts-de-Seine and the Val-D’Oise. “This change will be transparent and painless: the attachment of automotive professionals to their new collector will be automatic via the Aliabase extranet, a link with Aliapur and its subcontractors” assures Aliapur. These exchanges took place in December during a collection operation.

The eco-contribution fee now increases by 3.5 per cent. Aliapur‘s Board of Directors decided on November 19 to increase the overall eco-contribution amount by 3.5% for 2021. Thus, the contribution for a passenger car tyre goes from 1.18€ to 1,22 €, and the contribution of the truck tyre from 8.60 € to 9 €.

These two key categories together represent more than 85 per cent of the volumes collected, but the increase also concerns all other types of tyres: scooter, motorcycle, agricultural, civil engineering and aircraft. This increase is directly linked to the result of the call for tenders for the collection and processing of used tyres. After a flat period in 2016-2020, the cost of collection and shredding services has been subject to a stabilising increase over the next 4 years (2021-2024).
