Ecopneus Academy has been launched with a high-level training platform dedicated to the circular economy of ELTs promoted by Ecopneus, the main consortium company in the management of ELTs in Italy.
Ecopneus Academy to Educate on ELT
The Academy will offer a package of advanced training on issues related to the circular economy of End of Life Tyres, from the correct management of recycling to the reference legislation, up to the application sectors of recycled rubber, promoted by Ecopneus to further support and feed the culture of sustainability and recycling.
It will achieve this by means of a dynamic meeting place, through which knowledge related to the correct recycling of ELTs and the enhancement of the countless applications of recycled rubber can be spread in a targeted manner.
Ecopneus manages an industrial supply chain made up of about 100 companies throughout the country that guarantees the tracing, collection, transport and treatment of an average of about 200,000 tons of ELTs every year, which are then transformed into precious recycled rubber for many applications in very different sectors.
Ecopneus has a concrete commitment to the development of the country’s circular economy which finds further confirmation and impetus with the launch of the Academy which, through the sharing of knowledge and innovative tools, wants to continue to feed the culture of sustainability.
By putting ethics, skills, professionalism and know-how at the disposal of technical control bodies, law enforcement agencies and institutions, Ecopneus intends to contribute in a concrete way to an increasingly sustainable growth for the country and to a better knowledge of the dynamics of the sector.
The Ecopneus Academy will contain in a single package the many educational and training initiatives already launched by Ecopneus plus many new initiatives planned. Backed by extensive experience and constant research in the field of innovation and sustainability, Ecopneus has always been engaged in training and awareness-raising activities on the issues of recycling, legality and environmental protection.
“Our ten-year experience in the recycling sector and the new technological possibilities have opened a reflection on Ecopneus‘ training capacity, bringing to light a rationalisation of the contents within an umbrella concept: the Ecopneus Academy,” declared Giovanni Corbetta general manager of Ecopneus
“As Ecopneus we have worked hard over the years to spread greater knowledge on the applications of recycled rubber by activating and supporting various scientific studies and training initiatives alongside prestigious academic and research organisations in our country.
“The Ecopneus Academy wants to bring a value that lasts over time, promoting training sessions dedicated to the circular economy, environment, legality and sustainability aimed both at companies and workers in the sectors and school students.
“For some time now, Ecopneus has been promoting various training initiatives such as the ELT Academy, dedicated to the technical specialists of Control Bodies, Law Enforcement and Public Administration on the regulatory and administrative aspects of the management of ELTs in Italy ELTs”, in collaboration with Legambiente, dedicated to raising awareness of the legality of primary and secondary school students and helping them to know and understand the benefits deriving from the correct management of ELTs.
In addition to the PFU Academy and the Educational project for schools, the Academy will host meetings dedicated to sustainable sport for managers of sports facilities, webinars on the well-being of sports horses dedicated to veterinarians, whose scientific direction is entrusted to the faculty of Veterinary Medicine of the University of Perugia. But also appointments dedicated to professionals of engineering, architecture, construction, acoustics, to update them on the most innovative developments and uses in the field of design and urban redevelopment.
The Ecopneus Academy is a transversal offer aimed at continuously supporting the correct recycling of ELTs in the many areas of reference. The meetings in fact make use of the precious collaboration of many authoritative partners, such as Legambiente, the Italian Union of Sport for All (UISP), Edizioni Ambiente, Matrec – an international research laboratory specialising in sustainability and circularity of materials.
