Registrations of Tyrewise participants are now in full swing with loose tyre and vehicle importers and sellers, as well as tyre collectors and processors around the country getting in touch to be part of the solution for end-of-life tyres in Aotearoa New Zealand
Tyrewise’s focus has been on supporting tyre importers as they work with the Fee Schedule and the Tariff codes to enter into their inventory system so that the Tyre Stewardship Fee will be charged to their customers from 1 March 2024. Tyrewise advises that loose tyre importers, make sure they or their Customs Broker / Freight Forwarder register for the next webinar hosted by CBAFF on 7 February 2024.
Tyrewise also advises that the members of its first Technical Advisory Group is being finalised. This group will be working on tariff codes with NZ Customs.
Up till now the focus of Tyrewise communications has been to the trade. However, soon Tyrewise will begin to introduce the scheme to all new Zealanders.
