Ecopneus Returns to Fieracavalli

Ecopneus-UISP

Once again Ecopneus joined with UISP (Italy’s sports for all organisation) over two weekends of public involvement at Italy’s Fieracavalli, dedicated to the well-being of horses and riders on recycled rubber flooring from end-of-life tyres.

Ecopneus used the opportunity to raise the awareness of the benefits of recycled rubber in equestrian use.

Scientific studies and field tests have shown how the use of recycled rubber surfaces for riding, is eco-sustainable and protects the joints of the horse, drastically reducing the dispersion of dust in the air compared to traditional sand fields, they are self-draining, have very low maintenance costs and a strong anti-shock value, which also makes them suitable for the protection of riders.

At the 123rd edition of Fieracavalli (4-7 and 12-14 November, Verona), there is a Tyrefield riding paddock, present in Area A, immediately after the entrance to Cangrande, in front of Hall 1, where numerous Fair activities will take place. It has been confirmed as an innovative solution capable of combining sport, environmental sustainability and the well-being of horse and rider. The Fieracavalli field was created thanks to Ecopneus and UISP, the Italian Union of Sports for All.

The Tyefield field of 20 x 40 meters installed in Area A, with the contribution of Promix, was built according to the parameters identified by Uliano Vezzani, Chef de Piste Internazionale, with 890 recycled rubber tiles and a performance infill in granules and sand ennobled and with geotextile fibres. Recycled rubber was also used for all the walkways between the various areas dedicated to horses.
